- Match the output voltage to your panel. A 48V to 240V inverter with split-phase output is required for well pumps, dryers and central AC; a 120V-only unit will not start them.
- For surge-heavy loads, look at the surge rating. The Sol-Ark 18K lists 36kW for 10 seconds, which starts HVAC compressors and high-torque motors without a soft starter.
