The SGS12K-PM3-590 is built for homes that want real energy independence rather than a few hours of backup. Three PowerMax 314 Outdoor batteries give 48.21kWh of LiFePO4 storage - roughly two days of typical household use - in IP65 cabinets that can be installed outside, and the SGS-12K18MAX hybrid inverter runs the whole house through its 200A pass-through while exporting surplus solar to the grid.
Eighteen SGN-590-BDG1 bifacial N-type panels (22.8% efficiency, 144 half-cut cells) provide 10,620W of PV, about 42kWh per day at four sun hours before bifacial gain. The 590W format means fewer modules, less racking and fewer connections than a 450W array of the same output. The inverter still has room for up to 18kW of PV if you expand later.
Everything communicates in closed loop: inverter, batteries and app. Peak shaving, time-of-use scheduling, generator input, AC coupling with an existing PV inverter and UL1741 SB grid export are all built in, and the inverter/battery pair is certified as a UL 9540 ESS. PV extension cables, 4/0 AWG battery cables, 25A PV breakers, a 300A DC breaker and a 400A bus bar are included.
