200Ah Solar Batteries: 2,560Wh of Lithium Storage in One Box

200Ah is the capacity where a single 12V battery stops being a weekend accessory and becomes the house bank for a trailer, van, boat or small cabin. Each of the solar batteries in this collection stores 2,560Wh, which is two nights of a compressor fridge, lights, water pump and device charging, or one evening of a microwave and TV through an inverter. All three are LiFePO4, the lithium chemistry with the long cycle life and flat discharge curve that makes deep daily cycling practical.

The collection holds 3 products, two from Rich Solar and one from Sungold Power, priced from $589 to $899. They share the same voltage and capacity, so the choice comes down to cycle rating, warranty length, monitoring and enclosure protection.

Sungold Power 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 deep cycle lithium battery with Bluetooth, self-heating and IP65 rating

How to choose a 200Ah lithium battery

  • Cycle life. The Sungold Power 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 Deep-Cycle Battery and the Rich Solar 12V 200Ah ALPHA 2 LITE are rated 4,000+ cycles. The Rich Solar 12V 200Ah ALPHA 2 is rated 5,000+. At one full cycle a day, 4,000 cycles is about eleven years, so all three outlast most RVs; the ALPHA 2 buys extra margin for a cabin bank that cycles hard year-round.
  • Cold-weather charging. Lithium cells must not be charged below freezing. The Sungold battery and the ALPHA 2 have internal self-heating so the pack warms itself before accepting charge. The ALPHA 2 LITE does not list heating, so keep it inside a heated space or use it in mild climates.
  • Bluetooth monitoring. The Sungold and the ALPHA 2 report state of charge and current to a phone app. The ALPHA 2 LITE skips the app but adds individually fused cells and a sophisticated BMS, which is a protection feature rather than a convenience one.
  • Enclosure rating. The Sungold battery is IP65 rated, the one to choose for a boat locker or an exterior compartment that gets wet. It also lists a 200A max discharge and a 5-year warranty.
  • Price versus features. At $589 the Sungold unit is the lowest-priced battery here and still includes heating, Bluetooth and IP65. The ALPHA 2 at $899 is the pick when the higher cycle rating matters more than price.

Sizing tips

  • Work out daily watt-hours first. A 200Ah battery gives you 2,560Wh; if your load list comes to 1,200Wh a day, one battery covers two days without sun. The Solar Kit Calculator does this from your appliances and ZIP code and suggests panel size to match.
  • Pair the panels to the battery. A 200ah solar system for a trailer typically needs 300 to 400W of panels to refill a full day's use in average sun; less and the battery slowly walks down over a week.
  • Mind the inverter draw. A 2,000W inverter pulls close to 170A from a 12V battery at full load, near the 200A limit the Sungold lists. Two batteries in parallel halve the strain on each.
  • Buy matching batteries if you plan to parallel. Same model, same age.
  • Switch your charger and controller to a lithium profile. Lead-acid settings undercharge LiFePO4.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a 200Ah lithium battery run a fridge? A 12V compressor fridge uses roughly 400 to 600Wh a day, so 2,560Wh is four to six days with nothing else running, or two to three days with lights, pump and charging on top.

Is 200Ah too much for a small van? Rarely. The extra capacity means shallower daily cycles, which extends battery life, and it gives you a buffer for cloudy stretches. Weight and tray space are the only real limits.

Are these the same as 48V solar batteries? No. Everything here is 12V for mobile and small cabin systems. Home systems built around a 48V inverter use rack or wall batteries sold separately.

All the solar batteries for sale here ship free to the mainland US from our brand partner warehouses, usually within a few business days, with 30-day returns. Call us if you want help deciding between one 200Ah battery and two.
