A camping solar kit pairs a battery with one or more solar panels so you can run a fridge, lights, a CPAP, laptops and phone chargers at a site with no hookups. Solar power for camping comes in two shapes: a portable power station bundled with a folding panel, which needs no wiring, and a panel-plus-charge-controller kit that charges a 12V or 24V battery you already have in a trailer, van or truck.
This collection holds 136 products from Anker, Rich Solar, Mango Power, Bluetti and EcoFlow. Prices run from about $800 for a two-panel charging kit to about $5,000 for a 6,000W station with 7,680Wh of storage and rigid panels.
| Product | Key numbers | Best for | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rich Solar 400W Charging Kit, 40A MPPT | 2 x 200W panels, 12V/24V | Trailers and vans with an existing battery | $800 |
| Mango Power E + 2 x 200W Panels | 3,000W, 3.5kWh, 400W solar | Family car camping with a fridge | $1,899 |
| Anker SOLIX F3800 + PS400 400W Panel | 6,000W, 3,840Wh, 2,400W solar input | RV air conditioning and home backup double duty | $2,600 |
| Anker SOLIX F3000 + 6,144Wh Extra Battery + 400W Panel | 3,600W, 6,144Wh, 400W solar | Week-long trips, cloudy regions | $2,900 |
How much solar do I need to run a 12V fridge while camping? Most compressor fridges use 300 to 600Wh a day. A 400W panel on a clear day covers that with margin, and a 3,072Wh station gives you several cloudy days of reserve.
Can I use these solar products for camping and for home outages? Yes. The Anker SOLIX F3800 bundles are built with plug-in home backup in mind, and the F3000 and Mango Power E run a household fridge and lights through a typical outage.
Do I need a separate inverter? Not with a power station; the inverter is built in. With the Rich Solar charging kit you charge a battery only, and you add an inverter if you need 120V outlets.
Everything ships free to the mainland US from our brand partner warehouses, usually within a few business days, with 30-day returns. If you are unsure which solar energy for camping setup fits your trip, call us and we will size it with you.
