Lithium LiFePO4 Solar Batteries: From RV Lithium Batteries to 16kWh Home Storage

Lithium iron phosphate is the chemistry that replaced lead-acid in solar storage: it takes deep discharge without damage, lasts thousands of cycles and weighs far less per kilowatt-hour. This collection covers every format we carry, from RV lithium batteries built to ride in a vehicle to server-rack and wall-mount units for home backup and expansion packs that snap onto a portable power station.

There are 86 batteries here from Pytes, Sungold Power, BigBattery, EG4, Anker and Bluetti. The smallest is the Bluetti B300K expansion pack at 2,764.8Wh for $1,249; the largest single bundle is the Pytes V5 20.48kWh outdoor cabinet at $7,499. Nearly all of the installed units are 48V class, which is where modern inverters expect to see them.

EG4 48V WallMount 16kWh 314Ah all-weather LiFePO4 battery rated for outdoor installation

How to choose a LiFePO4 battery

  • Format first. Server-rack modules like the Pytes V5 5.12kWh Server Rack Battery stack in a cabinet and grow one unit at a time. Wall-mount units like the EG4 48V WallMount 16kWh Indoor put 16kWh in a single box with a 200A continuous discharge rating. Vehicle batteries like the BigBattery HUSKY 2 INV 48V 5.12kWh add an IP65 vibration-resistant enclosure and self-heating.
  • Cycle rating. Numbers in this collection range from 3,000 cycles on the Anker BP3800 expansion pack to 6,000 on the Pytes V5 and Bluetti B4810, 7,000-plus on the Sungold SG48100M and 10,000 on the EG4 314Ah All-Weather. For daily solar cycling, higher is worth paying for.
  • Indoor or outdoor. The EG4 48V WallMount 16kWh All-Weather is IP67 and rated for direct outdoor installation; the Indoor version is $350 cheaper and belongs in a garage or utility room.
  • Cold-weather charging. LiFePO4 should not charge below freezing. The Bluetti B4810, HUSKY 2 INV and EG4 Indoor include self-heating, which matters for boats, northern RVs and unheated outbuildings.
  • Expansion pack or standalone. The Anker SOLIX BP3800 only works with the F3800, and the Bluetti B500 only with the EP800/EP900. Buy those to grow a system you own; buy a 48V rack or wall unit to build one from scratch.

Sizing tips

  • Size storage on the Solar Kit Calculator: enter appliances and ZIP code and it returns the kWh you need for the nights and cloudy days your area actually gets.
  • Plan usable capacity, not nameplate. EG4 lists its 16kWh units at 12.86kWh recommended usable, which is the honest number to design around for any lithium batteries for solar power.
  • Match voltage to the inverter. All installed units here are 48V class; do not connect one to a 12V or 24V inverter.
  • Check closed-loop communication. The HUSKY 2 INV and B4810 talk to compatible inverters over a data link, which gives accurate state-of-charge and safer charging than voltage-only setups.
  • Leave room to grow. Four Sungold SG48100P racks give 20.48kWh now, and adding a fifth later is routine; a single sealed wall unit is harder to extend.

Frequently asked questions

Which are the best lithium solar batteries for a home? For a new installation, the EG4 314Ah wall units (16kWh, UL 1973 certified, up to 10,000 cycles) or a stack of Pytes V5 or Sungold server-rack modules. For adding to a Bluetti EP800/EP900 or Anker F3800, use the matching B500 or BP3800.

Can I put a 48V lithium battery in an RV or boat? Yes, with a 48V inverter. The HUSKY 2 INV and Bluetti B4810 are built for vehicle use with self-heating and rugged enclosures, and 48V lets you run air conditioning that a 12V bank struggles with.

What is the 72V RAPTOR 2 for? It is a 7.68kWh LiFePO4 drop-in for golf carts, ground support and industrial equipment that ran on 72V lead-acid, not for solar inverters.

These lithium solar batteries for sale ship free to the mainland US from brand partner warehouses, usually within a few business days, with 30-day returns. Call us with your inverter model and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
