Sungold Power Solar Batteries: Which LiFePO4 Format Fits Your System

Sungold Power builds lithium iron phosphate solar batteries in every common format: 12V and 24V deep-cycle units for RVs and boats, 48V server-rack modules for a cabinet, wall-mounted powerwalls for a garage, and a floor-standing outdoor unit for whole-home storage. All of them are LiFePO4, the chemistry that tolerates daily cycling and does not need the maintenance a lead-acid bank does.

How to choose a Sungold Power battery

• Voltage first. Match the inverter. A 12V RV or van system takes the Sungold Power 12V 200Ah Deep-Cycle Battery or the two-pack of 12V 100Ah units. A 24V system takes the 24V 100Ah model. Every 48V split-phase inverter in the store wants the 51.2V rack, wall or outdoor units.
• Capacity per unit. The 48V modules are 5.12kWh (100Ah), the Powerwall X is 10.24kWh (200Ah), and the Sungold Power PowerMax 16.07kWh Outdoor Battery holds 314Ah in one cabinet. Fewer, larger units mean fewer cables and breakers.
• Mounting. Server-rack modules like the SG48100P and SGH48100T stack in a 3U rack. The SG48100M and the CoreX 5 Elite hang on a wall. The PowerMax stands on the floor and is IP65 rated for outdoor placement.
• Cold weather. The SGH48100T rack modules and the 12V/24V deep-cycle units have self-heating, so they can charge below freezing. The SG48100P does not list heating; keep it in a conditioned space.
• Expansion ceiling. The CoreX 5 Elite parallels to 15 units (76.8kWh) and the PowerMax to 16 units (257kWh). If you plan to grow past 20kWh, start with a model that states a high parallel limit.

• Check inverter communication. The CoreX 5 Elite lists CAN/RS485 inverter communication, which lets the inverter read state of charge instead of guessing from voltage.
• Weight matters on a wall. The SG48100M is listed at 114.6lb net; use the mounting hardware the manufacturer specifies and hit studs.
• For a home battery that must meet permitting rules, the PowerMax states UL1973 and UL9540A certification and CEC listing. Other models do not state these, so ask your inspector before choosing.

Can I mix the wall-mounted SG48100M with server-rack modules? Keep to one model family per bank so the BMS units balance the same way. If you need more storage, add the same model rather than a different format.
