EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra: Which Capacity Tier Do You Actually Need

The EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra is a 7,200W portable power station built for whole-home backup rather than weekend trips. It puts out 120V and 240V, so it can feed a well pump, a dryer or a central AC compressor as well as the fridge and lights, and its LiFePO4 battery stacks in the garage or utility room instead of sitting on a shelf. Compared with the older EcoFlow Delta Pro, the difference is scale: more inverter, far more storage headroom.

This collection holds 11 products. One is the bare station at from $4,199. The other ten are complete solar kits that pair the station with 200W panels, either rigid roof-mount or folding portable, at storage tiers of 6,000Wh, 12,000Wh, 18,000Wh, 24,000Wh and 30,000Wh, priced from $5,599 to $14,599.

How to choose a DELTA Pro Ultra kit

  • Storage tier. Count the hours you want to ride through. A fridge, freezer, furnace blower, internet and lights draw roughly 6,000 to 10,000Wh a day in most homes, so the 6,000Wh kits cover a short outage and the 12,000Wh kits cover a full day. The 24,000Wh and 30,000Wh kits are for multi-day events or homes that run electric heat and well pumps. The standalone station expands to 90kWh if you add batteries later.
  • Rigid or portable panels. The rigid-panel kits (from $5,699 at 6,000Wh) are meant for a permanent roof or ground mount. The portable-panel kits (from $5,599) fold away and go in the RV or get set up on the lawn during an outage. The 6,000Wh and 12,000Wh portable kits include a 400W array; the 18,000Wh and larger portable kits include 1,600W.
  • Solar array vs battery size. A 400W array refills 6,000Wh slowly. If you expect to run off-grid for days rather than hours, step up to a 1,600W kit or plan on adding panels.
  • Station only. Already own panels? The EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra 7.2kW Portable Power Station at from $4,199 gives you the 6,144Wh base unit and nothing else.

Sizing tips

  • Run the Solar Kit Calculator with your appliance list and ZIP code. It estimates the battery, inverter and panel size you need from local sun hours, which decides whether a 400W or 1,600W array makes sense.
  • Check the nameplate on your largest 240V load. A 7,200W inverter handles most residential AC units, but a big compressor with a hard start can still trip it.
  • Rigid kits need a mounting plan. Measure roof space before ordering; each 200W panel takes real square footage.
  • Portable kits store flat, but 1,600W of folding panels is a lot to deploy by hand. Decide who sets them up when the power goes out at night.
  • Do not pair 30,000Wh of storage with a 400W panel; the extra battery will rarely refill.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the DELTA Pro Ultra and the DELTA Pro? The Ultra is the larger platform: 7,200W of inverter, 120V and 240V output and expansion to 90kWh. If you searched for a delta pro ultra sale expecting the older unit's price, this is the larger platform.

Can I add more batteries later? Yes. Kits at 6,000Wh and 12,000Wh use the same station as the 30,000Wh kits, so you can start small and stack more storage when budget allows.

Do these kits work with an existing home panel? The station outputs 120V and 240V and is designed for whole-home use. Talk to an electrician about a transfer switch or EcoFlow home panel before you order an ecoflow delta pro kit for hardwired backup.

Every kit ships free to the mainland US from brand partner warehouses, usually within a few business days, with 30-day returns. Unsure which tier fits your house? Call and we will walk through your loads with you.
