Lithium batteries for off grid systems are the part of the setup you draw on every night, so they decide how many cloudy days you can ride out and how long the system lasts. Every battery in this collection is LiFePO4, rated for 4,000 to 8,000 or more cycles, with a built-in BMS. The practical choice is between small 12V and 24V units for vans, cabins and boats, and 48V modules in wall-mount, server-rack or floor-standing form for whole-home systems.
The collection holds 20 batteries from Rich Solar, Sungold Power, Bluetti, EG4 and Fortress Power. Prices run from $390 for a 12V 100Ah battery to $4,560 for four self-heating 48V rack modules, 20.48kWh in one order.
| Product | Key numbers | Best for | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rich Solar 12V 100Ah ALPHA 1 | 1,280Wh, 5,000+ cycles, Bluetooth, self-heating | Vans, trailers, boats | $449 |
| Rich Solar 24V 100Ah ALPHA 4 LITE | 2,560Wh, 4,000+ cycles | Small cabins with a 24V inverter | $799 |
| Sungold Power 5.12kWh Powerwall SG48100M | 51.2V, 100Ah, wall-mount | First 48V battery for a home inverter | $1,130 |
| EG4 PowerPro 48V 14.3kWh | 280Ah, 200A discharge, IP65, 8,000+ cycles | Whole-home storage, outdoor mounting | $3,124 |
How many lithium batteries for off grid solar do I need for a cabin? For lights, a fridge, a water pump and electronics, one 5.12kWh 48V module or two 24V 100Ah batteries is a typical starting point. Add a second module to sleep through a rainy weekend without a generator.
Rack, wall or floor: which is better? Rack modules are the cheapest way to grow past 10kWh, wall units save floor space, and the 14.3kWh EG4 PowerPro is the tidiest large single unit. Pick based on the room you have and how far you expect to expand.
Can I use lithium ion batteries for off grid systems with an older lead-acid charger? Only if the charger has a lithium profile; the higher charge voltage and the absence of a float stage matter. Most inverters sold here have that setting.
Every battery ships free to the mainland US from our brand partner warehouses, usually within a few business days, with 30-day returns. Call us with your inverter model and we will confirm which battery pairs with it.
