The SGS12K-PM1-450 is Sungold Power's entry into whole-home hybrid solar: one system that lowers the power bill every day and keeps the entire house running when the grid fails. The SGS-12K18MAX inverter delivers 12,000W of 120/240V split-phase power, exports surplus solar under UL1741 SB / IEEE 1547 rules, and its 200A pass-through lets it feed a full 200A main panel rather than a small critical-loads panel.
Twenty SGN-450-BDG5 bifacial N-type monocrystalline panels supply 9,000W of PV (up to 36kWh a day at four sun hours, more with bifacial gain), well within the inverter's 18kW input limit, so there is headroom to add panels later. The PowerMax 314 Outdoor battery stores 16.07kWh in an IP65 cabinet that can sit outside, is UL1973 and UL9540A certified and CEC listed, and communicates with the inverter in closed loop.
Because the inverter and battery are certified together as a UL 9540 energy storage system, plan review and inspection are simpler. The kit includes 50 ft PV extension cables and 25A PV breakers; add roof or ground racking to suit the site. Need more storage? Two- and three-battery versions (SGS12K-PM2/PM3) and the 590W panel option are available.
