How to choose a hybrid solar kit

• Usable storage, not nominal. The EG4 16kWh Indoor Battery + FlexBOSS21 is 16kWh nominal with 12.86kWh of recommended usable capacity. Plan your overnight loads around the second number. The NEXUS 14.3kWh + APEX-10K lands in the same class and grows to 214.5kWh on the same platform.
• Inverter output. A 3,000VA Victron unit in the HUSKY 2 5.12kWh + MultiPlus-II 3000 suits an RV or a small cabin. A house with 240V appliances needs the 6,000W EG4 6000XP or the 10,000W APEX-10K.
• Grid-tied or backup only. The FlexBOSS21 system is built for grid interaction with a 16kW hybrid inverter. The Victron kits use PowerAssist to let the battery add to limited shore power or a generator instead of tripping a breaker, which is the mobile version of the same idea.
