48V LiFePO₄ Kit · Victron MultiPlus-II · RV & Mobile Ready
This kit pairs a 48V HUSKY2 5.12kWh LiFePO₄ battery with a Victron MultiPlus-II 3000VA inverter/charger and a Cerbo GX monitoring device — a compact, rugged setup built for RVs, camper vans, and mobile or backup power rather than whole-home solar. Victron's PowerAssist technology lets the battery supplement limited shore power or a generator instead of tripping a breaker, and the whole system reports back over Victron's VRM monitoring app.
Three components, pre-matched and sold together (plus a comm cable).
Qty 1
5.12kWh LiFePO₄, IP65/NEMA 4X rated, with self-heating for cold-weather operation.
Qty 1
3,000VA pure sine wave inverter/charger with PowerAssist and a <20ms no-break transfer.
Qty 1
System monitoring and control, with free remote access via Victron's VRM portal and app.
Tier-1 LiFePO₄ cells with a 7,500W max continuous power rating and 150A peak discharge for 3 seconds.
Rated 3,000VA (2,400W at 25°C) with 5,500W of peak power for motor starts and other brief surges.
When shore power or a generator can't cover a load spike, the battery fills the gap automatically instead of tripping a breaker.
Switches to battery power fast enough that computers and other sensitive electronics keep running through a grid drop.
The battery is dust- and splash-resistant with an internal heater for reliable charging in cold weather.
Track and adjust the whole system from anywhere through Victron's free VRM portal and mobile app.
Six units combine for 15kW / 18kVA of output with 210A of charging capacity, or split-phase and 3-phase configurations with fewer units.
Built to hold up to the bumps and vibration of mobile and vehicle-based installations, not just stationary ones.
This kit is sized and positioned differently from a whole-home off-grid system: it's a compact 5.12kWh battery paired with a 3,000VA Victron inverter/charger, aimed at RVs, camper vans, and backup or mobile applications rather than powering a house. The Victron MultiPlus-II has no built-in solar charge controller — it pairs with a separate MPPT solar controller if you want panels feeding the battery, and on its own handles AC charging, inverting, and PowerAssist duties.
PowerAssist is the standout feature here: when shore power or a generator can't quite cover a load spike — a microwave and an AC unit kicking on together, for instance — the battery fills the gap automatically instead of the breaker tripping. Pair that with a Cerbo GX for remote monitoring over Victron's VRM app, and the whole system stays visible and controllable from a phone, whether you're parked in a driveway or off the grid entirely.

No — the Victron MultiPlus-II in this kit is an inverter/charger without a built-in MPPT solar controller. If you want solar panels charging the battery, you'll need to add a separate MPPT solar charge controller; the MultiPlus-II is designed to work alongside one.
It lets the battery supplement AC input that's running near its limit — shore power or a generator, for example — so a brief load spike doesn't trip a breaker or overload the source. When the load drops back down, any spare power goes toward recharging the battery.
It's Victron's monitoring and control device for the system. Connected to the internet, it gives free remote access through Victron's VRM portal and mobile app, so you can check status or adjust settings from anywhere.
Yes — the battery's vibration-resistant construction and the whole kit's compact footprint are specifically suited to mobile installations, on top of working just as well for stationary off-grid or backup use.
Yes — up to 6 units can run in parallel for more combined power, 2 units can be configured for 240V split-phase output, and 3 units can be configured for three-phase.
The HUSKY2 battery carries a 12-year manufacturer's warranty and the Victron MultiPlus-II carries a 5-year manufacturer's warranty — two separate coverage periods for the two components.
Given the voltages and currents involved, installation should be handled by a qualified, licensed electrician or installer familiar with your local code requirements — especially for vehicle-based or marine installations, which often have their own separate code considerations.
