This kit pairs two 48V HUSKY2 5.12kWh LiFePO₄ batteries (10.24kWh total) with a Victron MultiPlus-II 5,000VA inverter/charger and a Cerbo GX monitoring device — a step up in both capacity and power from the smaller 3,000VA version, still built for RVs, larger mobile setups, cabins, and off-grid or backup power. Victron's PowerAssist technology lets the batteries supplement limited shore power or a generator instead of tripping a breaker, and the whole system reports back over Victron's VRM monitoring app.

This kit scales up from BigBattery's smaller HUSKY2 + Victron kit on both fronts: two 5.12kWh batteries (10.24kWh combined) paired with a 5,000VA Victron inverter/charger, rather than one battery and a 3,000VA unit. It still leans toward mobile and off-grid applications — RVs, larger vans, cabins, backup power — rather than whole-home solar, and the Victron MultiPlus-II still has no built-in solar charge controller of its own; it pairs with a separate MPPT solar controller if you want panels feeding the batteries.
PowerAssist is the standout feature carried over from the smaller kit: when shore power or a generator can't quite cover a load spike, the batteries fill the gap automatically instead of the breaker tripping — and with 4,000W of continuous headroom this time, that spike can be larger. Pair that with a Cerbo GX for remote monitoring over Victron's VRM app, and the whole system stays visible and controllable from a phone, whether you're parked in a driveway or off the grid entirely.
