I purchased a 4KW 12V Inverter about a year ago, and it has been working flawlessly. I had a smaller 2KW 12V inverter (also from SunGold), but I needed more power. I use it with backup batteries to run a few essential appliances in the house (pellet stove, refrigerator, water pump, internet gateway). The water pump is what required the extra juice, and it has worked well so far. We lose power pretty often, but rarely for more than a few hours, so this keeps us from needing a generator. It kicks on without any of electronics noticing, and charges the batteries back up to full quickly. I also added a battery monitor when upgrading, which has made it possible to see which way the electricity is flowing. Works great!

We bought the 4000W unit for our off the grid cabin. We have a 240v AC generator to operate our well pump, and solar panels to charge LiFePo batteries. Typically only need to pump water to a storage tank every 2-3 days, but the charging function of the SunGoldPower unit allows the generator to top off the batteries whenever it runs. This also gives us a backup charging source for extended cloudy days.The 4000W capacity gives us plenty of power for operating power tools without having to fire up the generator.
