A 48 volt solar system is the standard for homes, cabins and large RVs that need more than a few kilowatts. Running the battery bank at 48V instead of 12V cuts current by a factor of four, so wiring is thinner, losses are lower and inverters in the 5,000 to 16,000W range become practical. This collection gathers complete kits, battery-plus-inverter bundles and 48V panel packs that all share that bus voltage.
There are 86 products here from Sungold Power, EG4 and BigBattery. A two-panel 200W pack starts at from $350; full kits with inverter, lithium battery and panels run from $3,145 for a 5,000W Sungold Power system to from $15,725 for a 16,000W system with 25.6kWh of storage.
| Product | Key numbers | Best for | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| SunGoldPower 200W 48V Mono Panels Kit | 200W panels, 48V | Adding panels to an existing bank | $350 |
| HUSKY 2 5.12kWh + Victron MultiPlus-II 3,000W | 5.12kWh, 3,000VA, 120V, Cerbo GX | RV and mobile 48V upgrades | $2,920 |
| Sungold Power SGM-5K5E | 5,000W, 5.12kWh, 6 x 200W | First off-grid cabin system | $3,145 |
| Sungold Power SGR-8K10E | 8,000W, 120/240V, 10.24kWh, 8 x 415W | Whole-home off-grid or backup | $5,518 |
Why 48V instead of 12V or 24V? Lower current for the same watts means smaller cables, cooler connections and access to larger inverters. Once you plan more than about 3,000W of load, 48V is the practical choice.
Can I use a 48V kit in an RV? Yes. The HUSKY 2 + Victron bundles are described as RV and mobile ready, and the 3,000W version fits a mid-size rig. You will need a 48V-to-12V converter for the coach's DC loads.
Are panels included? Only in the Sungold Power SGM and SGR kits. The EG4 and BigBattery bundles are battery and inverter only, so add a panel kit from this collection.
All 48V kits ship free to the mainland US from our brand partner warehouses, typically within a few business days, with 30-day returns. Call us with your load list and we will confirm the kit size before you order.
